Well, there's a lot to be said for medication. Those two little pills knocked me OUT. Then entire day is either gone from memory or just a vague recollection. I remember turning off the alarm clock, and I remember choking in the dentist's chair. Oh yeah, I also remember the first numbing shot. Lemme tell ya, this Dr. Charles New, don't go to him. He has a knack for finding just the right spot in your jaw to make it excruciatingly painful. After waking up coughing, all I remember is the CLANG of the hitch and handing Carla Nancy's shell. Miles and miles later, I woke up with "the anesthesia's worn off" and went right back to sleep. I think we were outside Raleigh, where the road is bumpy, and I think it was my teeth banging together that brought that about. Obviously, though, I wasn't done sleeping. Next time I woke back up, we were in Emporia. Time travel couldn't be any quicker or easier.
Thanks to a relatively recent map acquisition, we were able to find our way into this camp without too much trouble, and without putting the camper in a ditch. (When we were here last Christmas, we followed the directions given in the directory, and I'm pretty sure they were not intended for units as large or wide as ours.)
Apparently, we'd followed the rain in, and there were some pretty big puddles in the campground roads. Once we were set up, Sunny had to check them all out. And mud. I forgot how black the mud is here. Out came the dishpan for her feet - no way was I gonna let THOSE paws in the house!! Poor dog - she really doesn't have the cocker spaniel's innate affinity for water. She did NOT want her feet cleaned. I cannot understand why she can go plop-plop thru a puddle, yet she does not like you to dip her feet. Oh well, I can't understand what she finds so good about eating poop, either, but she does that every chance she gets!!
A nice walk around camp after dinner and we're all good. Tomorrow we'll set up our "party" tent and go shopping for the CBT reunion. (Thanks, Debbra, for reminding me of where we worked...too many mergers, too many names, too many years have gone by!!)

rising early will happen for a while, i used to rise at 4:30 when i was workin now it is 5 or 5:30, no alarm clo0cks needed. you will get used to it, just don't take a nap during the day too long or you won't sleep so good, poor sunny and her bad breath, i had a dog that liked that "stuff" too, put a leather muzzle on her snout, let her outside and she found the "stuff" anyway and put the muzzle down to the ground and in it went, that was gross to clean up too, but so i did and then proceeded to put masking tape all around the muzzle and she was not able to do it again. i showed her and her breath was much nicer too. don't tell babs about the bugs all over the one side of the camper or truck, she would have a cow. were they dragon flies? c ya tomorrey kids........gotta go to the store.
