OH MY GOSH!!  What is this WET stuff!!  Now, wouldn't you know it, we have been almost a FULL YEAR since seeing any significant rain fall (I mean, more than 12 drops at this point would be significant), and we set out this morning for our adventure and the skies are as dark as NIGHT!  I'm *serious*!  Storm's a-comin'!!  Oh, what adventure, you ask?  OK, Staples & Tim, Jack & Di, you are not the only travelin' fools!  One day (HAHAHA!) Theresa & Vance will join you, but for now, WE are also on the road.  Doesn't take too awfully much to excite me, does it?   Our co-hosts from Lake Manatee State Park, in Bradenton, FL, are currently  managing a lovely bed & breakfast (without the breakfast, which I don't fully understand yet) up in Cat Spring, TX.  It can be be found at http://blisswood.net, and we have self-invited ourselves up to celebrate our 20th anniversary.  If you check out their website, you'll see why I was so eager to go up there.  Besides getting to visit with our good friends Mike & Brandi, that is.  Oh, boy, have I digressed!  This wet stuff on the roads!!  And it's MUCH MUCH greener up here than where we've been staying.  Guess I should tell you where here now is....we are travelling a bit north, and a little west of our summer place.  We will end up about 40 m iles to the west of Houston..  HA - just passed Twin Oaks Drive, wish I had my camera out & ready!  Oh my, there's a pond with WATER in it!  We've seen a coyote (sleeping), a couple little hawks, a BIG hawk, 2 scissor-tailed flycatchers, a bazillion little cattle egrets and lots of longhorn steer.  And someone's washed all the roads for us!!  Unbelievable!  But exciting, nonetheless.

Will have to write more later, gotta find us a grocery store.  Because of the b & b without b.  At least we've been forewarned!
